Tarter Sauce Recipe

Tarter sauce is the perfect companion to baked fish, along with squeezed lemon juice.

Tarter sauce is not something you need to buy. Our philosophy is to keep elemental ingredients on hand, and to create any composite food from the basic elements. This reduces wasted refrigerator and pantry space.

Tarter sauce is something that tends to sit in one's refrigerator for months or years, and is dificult to remember when it was first openend. By just making it fresh each time, you have no question as to whether it is good or not.

You can control the contents when it is fresh, and bypass eating all of the preservatives and other chemicals that the store bought contain.

Ingredients

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 quarter cut pickle
1 tablespoon pickle juice
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 teaspoon dill

Directions

Mince the pickles, mix together all ingredients, and serve in the mixing dish.
