Meatball-Shakshuka Recipe



This is delicious. My wife made it the first time on my birthday - one of my favorite meals.

Ingredients

Meatballs
1 LB Ground Beef
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons cumin
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
4 cloves garlic
2 eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
Sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons sugar
1 Can (28 ounce) whole stewed tomatoes

Directions

Mix together meatball ingredients and fry in a large wide dutch oven pan. Remove meatballs.

Using the same pan, add peppers and onions util soft. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, and simmer 15 minutes. Transfer back meatballs and cook and additional 15 minutes.

Serve with feta cheese crumbled over the top, and warm pita bread.
