Chili and Spaghetti Recipe

Chili-Spaghetti

This is what I call a punt meal - you're exhausted and need to cook a meal for your large family in less than 20 minutes. It's tasty and filling, but because of it's ease it can be cooked to much and become tiresome as a meal. Break the glass on this recipe, and only use in the case of an emergency.

When I was a kid we'd go to Bob Big Boy restaurant, the one with the big fiber glass statue of Bob Big Boy holding a hamburger. The old Austin Power movies feature this icon. They had the worst hamburgers so I'd get a plate of chili and spaghetti instead. It would come with a giant slice of yellow american cheese over the top. The only problem was that it would give me intense gas cramps after eating - to the point of thinking I needed to go to the ER.

Ingredients

2 cans chili
1 can diced tomatoes
handful Spaghetti
2 green onions
1 cup grated white cheddar (don't poison yourself with orange food coloring!)

Directions

Get water boiling immediately, and drop in pasta immediately (no need to wait until it's boiling.)

In a saucepan, add the cans of chili and tomatoes, and heat on a low burner.

When pasta is done, load it on plates, and pour a scoop of chili on top. Garnish with cheese and green onions.
