Bolognese Sauce Recipe

What can I say other than - "yum".

Ingredients

1 medium onion finely diced
1 large carrot finely diced
1 celery stock diced
4 cloves garlic
2 large tomato, skinned and diced
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup white wine
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon thyme
1 pinch nutmeg
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt

Directions

In a heavy large pot, fry onions, carrots, celery and garlic til soft. In same pan brown meat.

Add milk and wine, tomatoes, spices and salt and pepper, and simmer 1-2 hours. If there is too much liquid, simmer uncovered to reduce the liquid to the perfect consistency.

Serve with pappardelle, and grated romano.
